We are thrilled to announce that the Library will continue our popular Tech Help program this fall with volunteer Jeff Doughty.
Jeff will meet one-on-one with patrons who need technology assistance, including:
- Computer basics (including word processing)
- Conducting Internet searches
- Downloading and saving information
- Email basics
- Zoom basics
- FaceTime basics
- Using library resources (including Libby and Kanopy)
- Social media (including Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest)
This month, Tech Help sessions will be available from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12 and 19. Please call the Library (413-637-0197) to reserve a ½ hour appointment. Please bring any necessary devices, passwords, and charging cables.
Jeff Doughty had a long career as a software engineer, most recently with Apple and Nvidia. Jeff is now retired and resides in Lenox with his wife Carol and two Chihuahuas. He has a B.S. from Virginia Tech and a M.S. from Stanford University, both in Computer Science. Jeff has returned to college this fall at BCC to study art history.
