It was a great summer of reading here at the Lenox Library! Children and families gathered here on Saturday, August 27, 2022 to play, craft and eat ice cream – all as a reward for participating in our 2022 Summer Reading Program. Children tracked their reading time all summer long to earn free ice cream cones, free books, and to raise money for the dogs and cats waiting for homes at the Berkshire Human Society. Through some generous donors, each tracker sheet turned in raised $2 for BHS. Because of all the awesome reading that was done, $237 was donated to the animal shelter. Children also crafted dog and cat toys at the party. Check out the photos below to see the toys being made and used at the shelter!
