This year’s event, the 25th annual sale, will feature a huge selection of books in 35 categories, all donated from Berkshire homes. Many of the books are in like-new condition. A Special Interest selection offers collectors’ items, including limited editions, signed editions, and other collectibles, while an Old Treasures section features books from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Fiction, history, art and biography are some of the most popular categories. The children’s section offers a wide range of books, from board books to young adult novels with prices starting at 50 cents, is the largest category, followed by fiction, art, and biography.
The annual book sale, a much-anticipated event in the town’s summer calendar, is one of the Lenox Library Association’s primary fundraisers. All proceeds from the book sale benefit the Lenox Library’s many services, programs, and activities.
This year’s event will be underwritten by a generous grant from Apella Capital.
